Taxes on ScreenCloud Invoices and How to Correct Them

Learn why taxes appear on your ScreenCloud invoice and how to update your details to correct them.

Updated today

ScreenCloud invoices may include state, county, or local taxes based on the shipping address in your account. This article explains why taxes may appear and how to correct them.

Why taxes are applied

  • Shipping Address: Taxes are calculated using the shipping address in your account. If it’s in a state where ScreenCloud must collect tax, your invoice will include state, county, and city taxes.

  • State Regulations: Some states require taxes on subscription services. ScreenCloud collects these taxes as required by law.

How to fix incorrect tax charges

  1. Check your account details: Log in and confirm your shipping address in Account Settings > Billing.

  2. Update your address: If it’s incorrect, update it to the right location. Future invoices will reflect the change.

  3. Provide tax-exempt information (if applicable): If your business is tax-exempt, send your exemption certificate or details to ScreenCloud Support so taxes can be removed from your account.

  4. Review your next invoice: Confirm that taxes have been corrected or removed.

Key points to remember

  • Taxes are based on the shipping address saved in your account.

  • ScreenCloud follows state and local tax laws, which may change.

  • Keeping your account details accurate prevents unnecessary charges.
