“App not owned” or “Content not Owned” error message with Amazon and Fire OS when setting up ScreenCloud
Updated over a month ago

This article provides help on resolving the error messages “App not owned” or “Content not Owned” that you might see on your Amazon Fire TV Device as your try to run the ScreenCloud player app

If you attempt to open the ScreenCloud player on your Amazon device, and you see the “App not owned” or “Content not Owned” error message, this is due to the current Amazon account not having access to the app. The ScreenCloud player app may have been previously running on a different Amazon account on your device, and only this account has the app installed.

To resolve this issue for your Amazon device, please head to the Amazon app store in the new Amazon account and download and install the ScreenCloud player. If this doesn’t resolve the issue, please uninstall and reinstall the ScreenCloud player in this new Amazon account.

However, if you continue to see the issue even after performing the above steps, please reach out to our support team, as we will be happy to help.
