Please note: Amazon has created a new system for it's new Amazon Signage Stick, a digital signage dedicated Amazon device. Moving forward, we highly recommend choosing this alternative to avoid such problems as the Fire OS home screen popping up, among other issues that may be experienced with the consumer built device. You can learn about setting up the device with How to Set Up ScreenCloud on the Amazon Signage Stick for Digital Signage.
Amazon Fire TV offers great value on any budget and quick and easy setup with their consumer-friendly devices - such as its Fire TV Stick devices, as well as tablets and TVs running their Fire OS operating system. Please note, that you do not need Amazon Prime to use ScreenCloud, but you do need an Amazon account. If you do not have one, you can register by visiting this page.
For a complete catalog of other hardware we recommend, please review the ScreenCloud website's Hardware page. For an extensive list such as the below for the other operating systems we support, please see Which Devices and Operating Systems Can I Use with ScreenCloud and What Are the Minimum Requirements?
Minimum requirements
Amazon’s Fire TV streaming media devices, Fire tablets, and Fire TV smart TVs / smart TVs with Fire TV built-in run on Amazon's Fire OS operating system, which is based on Android. But as Amazon has a very specific list of devices that we have thoroughly tested, we have not set a list of minimum requirements, instead listing exactly which devices we do and do not recommend or support (see below).
Please also take note that Amazon devices running Fire OS 8 will require additional setup steps compared to earlier versions. You can see the guide How To Set Up the ScreenCloud Fire OS Player on Fire OS 8 for Fire TV Sticks for assistance with these devices.
