In this guide, we’ll walk you through how to set up ScreenCloud’s digital signage software using an Airtame device

1. How to Set up Your Airtame 2 Device for Digital Signage

1.1. Powering up Your Airtame 2

1.1.1. Unpack your Airtame box, inside there should be a dual power cable, adapter, and Airtame 2 device.

1.1.2. Locate the dual power cable, then plug the HDMI cord into your TV or projector.

1.1.3. Next plugin the power side of the USB C cable into the power adapter and then the connection side of the USB C cable into your Airtame 2 device.

Note: Your Airtame 2 device cannot be powered directly from the TV or projector as it requires a higher amount of power than a TV or projector can provide, so using the power adapter is recommended. The power cable also cannot be extended because it will underpower the device.

1.1.4. Next wait for the device to power up and you should see this landing page:

2. How to Install the Airtame App

2.1. Download the Airtame App and Set up Your Airtame 2

2.1.1. Click Here to download the correct version of the Airtame app for your operating system. Once downloaded, install, and open the Airtame app.

2.1.2. The Airtame app will automatically detect nearby devices and pair your laptop to your device. You will know when your device is connected when you see the blue ‘Set up’ option.

2.1.3. Select the ‘Set up’ button and follow the instructions, for more information check out Airtame’s detailed setup guide here.

2.1.4. Enter a name for your Airtame 2 device.

2.1.5. Select the WiFi or Ethernet network you would like to use to connect to the internet, making sure to choose 5GHz over 2.4GHz when available.

Note: On some operating systems you will need to enter your username and password to allow Airtame to connect.

2.1.6. After you set up your internet configuration, the Airtame app will initiate the setup process.

2.2. Set Your Airtame 2 to Use the ScreenCoud Web Player

2.2.1. Open the Airtame app and select "Settings" next to the name of your Airtame 2 device.

Note: The Chrome OS Airtame app does not have this "Settings" option, you must instead go to Airtame Cloud.

2.2.2. Scroll down to ‘Homescreen Background’.

2.2.3. Select the ‘Website’ option and enter this URL.

This will set ScreenCloud’s web player as the home screen background and display your ScreenCloud digital signage content when the screen is not in active use.

2.2.4. Select "Save Changes".

3. How to Set up Your Airtame Cloud Account

Airtame Cloud allows you to remotely manage all of your Airtame devices. Here's a quick guide on how to set it up. To find out more about Airtame Cloud, see here.

3.1. Set up Your Account

3.1.1. Login into your Airtame account, if you do not have an account click here to create one.

3.1.2. Select the 'Devices' tab on the left-hand side.

3.1.3. Select ‘Add Airtame’ in the top right and copy the token code.

3.1.4. Next, open the Airtame app, click on ‘Settings’ and paste in your cloud token code in the designated area, then apply changes.
