How to use the ScreenCloud Web Player

ScreenCloud's Web Player is a URL you can add to any web browser or integration that accepts URLs as digital signage content. Here's how to use it.

  1. Open your web browser (we recommend using Google Chrome)

  2. Add this URL - https://web.screencloud.com/ - to the URL bar and load it

  3. Your web browser will load the ScreenCloud Web Player and show a pairing code

  4. Follow the steps provided with the pairing code to connect and create a new screen in your ScreenCloud Studio account.

You can easily add this URL to integrations that accept URLs as digital signage content as well.

This ScreenCloud web player supports caching and offline support, and the ability to clear cache and action a reload. Please see here to learn about which apps and features can still show content if the player is offline.

If you intend to set up the URL ScreenCloud Web Player as your digital signage solution (which we do not recommend), you are least likely to experience issues using Google's Chrome browser. Internet browsers built into smart TVs will certainly not prove reliable. In such cases where the internet browser is not suitable to run the ScreenCloud player, please instead buy a media player that can run the ScreenCloud player and connect this to the TV. You can find the supported operating systems on our download page.

How to set up the ScreenCloud Web Player as an app

You can install this player as an app on your Windows or macOS machine by clicking the button located below the browser's address bar in the right corner.

By doing so, you can easily install it as an app, which is more convenient than using the browser version. The app offers additional features that are not available in the browser version.

Once installed, you won’t need to open the browser again to access the player. It will launch automatically because it includes a Start at boot feature that activates whenever you restart your machine.

If you intend to set up the ScreenCloud Web App Player as your digital signage solution, you are least likely to experience issues when using Google Chrome. We recommend using the Chrome browser on Windows or macOS machines for the best performance.

Internet browsers built into smart TVs are generally not reliable for this purpose. If Chrome is unavailable and you must use another browser that is incompatible with the ScreenCloud Web Player, we suggest purchasing a media player capable of running the ScreenCloud Player and connecting it to your TV. You can find the supported operating systems on our download page.
