Although ScreenCloud is primarily an English-language product, it fully supports multi-language content for your digital signage screens. With our supported apps, you can easily display content in other languages, helping you reach a wider audience across different regions. This guide explains which apps include multi-language settings, so your screens always deliver the right message in the right language.
Which languages do the apps support?
The languages available vary by app. Not every app supports the same options. Check the individual app guide to see its full language capability. The languages supported across apps include:
Chinese (Simplified)
Dutch
English
French
German
Polish
Portuguese
Serbian
Spanish
Spanish (Latin America)
Which ScreenCloud apps support multiple languages?
Listed below are apps that support displaying content in other languages from the app's settings. The available languages vary by app.
Where can I find the Language option for an app?
You can change an apps language with the Language option.
Can other apps display content in other languages?
Yes. Many ScreenCloud apps can display content in other languages, as long as the language comes directly from the connected third-party service or the text you provide. These apps do not translate content, however. They simply show the original language delivered through the embed, feed, link, integration, or text entered into the app.
For example:
Quick Post – Will display whatever language and text you enter when creating the post.
RSS Feed – Shows the language provided from the source RSS feed.
Emergency Alerts – Displays the language provided by the connected CAP system or custom CAP setup.
Any app that pulls or receives content from an external source will display that content in the original language supplied.
Language support for intranet apps
For intranet-connected apps, the languages you can choose from depend on how the third-party service is configured.
Unily – After connecting your Unily account, you can choose the Language for news posts. The options available are the target languages configured in your Unily instance.
Staffbase – After connecting Staffbase, you can choose the Language and Channels. Together these determine which news posts appear and in which language.
Simpplr – After connecting Simpplr, content will display in other languages as long as the connected intranet and the article itself support that language.
None of these apps translate content. The language you select must already exist in the connected platform.
