1. What is Single Sign-On (SSO) and which services are available?
Single Sign-On (SSO) is a user authentication session service that allows users to manage one set of login credentials to access multiple services or applications. For example, this is useful and commonly used for security purposes across organizations, enterprise companies, or individuals to help minimize using multiple login credentials. It gives you the convenience and flexibility to manage quick access to websites and resources using one sign-in method.
ScreenCloud uses secure services like auth0 and we currently support the following:
LDAP SSO
To learn how to set up SSO for your organization, please see Setting Up Single Sign-On (SSO) for Your ScreenCloud Account.
2. Is there any additional cost for SSO and set up?
SSO is an extra add-on feature for your ScreenCloud account that comes available on the Enterprise subscription plan. Please contact us here to connect with a member of our team for pricing information and setup.
3. How to use SSO to sign into ScreenCloud
Once your account has been set up for SSO login by your team or with the help of ScreenCloud support, there are three different ways you can log in:
3.1. Sign in using your service provider
You can access ScreenCloud directly through your service provider's website which you've set up SSO with. For this example, we'll walk through how to do this using the service Microsoft Azure.
3.1.1. Get started by visiting your service provider's website and log in with your email address.
3.1.2. Once you're logged in, visit your integrations managed in your account for SSO connections. Find and click on "ScreenCloud".
3.1.3. The system will automatically redirect you to the "Screens" dashboard of your ScreenCloud account linked with the SSO email address.
3.2. Sign in using ScreenCloud
You can also sign in directly using the "Login using SSO" button if you'd like by visiting ScreenCloud's main website at https://screencloud.com.
3.2.1. To use SSO, click on the "Login using SSO" button while trying to log into your ScreenCloud account.
3.2.2. When you click this option, you're prompted to enter the name the Slug name (URL slug) of your organization that's being used for the ScreenCloud account. This should be provided to you by your Studio account admin.
3.2.3. Once you enter the Slug name of your organization, click "Verify Organization".
3.2.4. If your ScreenCloud account has been activated with the SSO feature, you'll receive a prompt to connect with your service provider. For example, if your system is Microsoft Azure you'll get the option to sign in using Azure AD. Click on the "Sign in" button to continue.
3.2.5. Next, log into your service provider's account. Please note, if you're having any issues signing into your service provider's account, we recommend to first troubleshoot with your email administrator. If you've confirmed no issues internally with the account, please reach out to [email protected] with your account information for more help.
3.2.6. Once you sign in successfully, you'll be automatically directed to a brief message that your system is connecting, and you will then be loaded onto your organization's ScreenCloud Studio account!
You're all set with your SSO connection to ScreenCloud!
3.3. Sign in with IdP domain with ScreenCloud
If SSO has been set up with an IdP domain, you will be directed to your SSO provider after setting in your company email as you login.
3.3.1. If your IdP Domain was requested to be set up as below, your email would be [email protected].
3.3.2. Use the "Continue with email" login method.
3.3.3. Write your company email, your password, and click the "Continue with email" button again when it is enabled.
3.3.4. You should then see the name of your company's ScreenCloud account and be able to click a "Login" button, which directs you to your SSO provider. Complete your login, and you will then appear in your teams ScreenCloud Studio account.
4. How can I manage or remove users from logging in via SSO?
You can manage and remove users directly from your identity provider's website. For example, if you've set up SSO using the service Okta you can access your credentials and user management directly from your Okta account.
