It's not possible to simply swap an email address associated with a ScreenCloud account. Instead, you'll need to invite the new email address as a user and then remove the old one. Before removing the old email, you'll need to remove any specific settings tied to it and then apply those settings to the new email address. Please see the instructions below for a detailed guide on how to do this.
People
People is where you can invite and add an unlimited number of users to your ScreenCloud account. You can add users, then later assign them into groups (i.e. to set account privileges) and spaces (i.e. teams, segments, and collection of media). You can manage all users and groups, organization owners, and those with access via SSO (Single Sign-On) from this section of your ScreenCloud account. This area of your account has three sections:
All
This section provides a complete overview of all members invited to your ScreenCloud account. You can see their assigned groups, roles, ownership and the spaces they have access to. It also lists pending users who haven't yet accepted their invitations.
โ
To invite new users so that you can then assign ownership, click the Invite People button. Then:
Enter the new user's email address.
Select the group that defines their permissions and space access, such as Admin, for example.
Click + Add and then Send Invite.
Once a user is invited, you can assign them as an Owner.
Owners
Here is where you can manage primary ownership and other owners of your ScreenCloud account. As an owner, you have access to everything in the organization and you're able to make any changes to all screens. This is set by default to the creator of the ScreenCloud account. This provides you with full-administrative and billing access over any area of the account with all functions.
In the Owners section, you can invite any email address to your account and transfer primary ownership of the ScreenCloud account to the new user. The primary owner is noted as the main contact for the company if you decide to add multiple owners to your account.
When removing an email that was previously an owner, you will need to Remove as Owner so that you can remove the email from the account under People > All.
Only an Owner of a ScreenCloud account has the authority to assign or change ownership roles for other users. If you need to remove an Owner user (and their associated email address) who is no longer active, please reach out to ScreenCloud support for assistance.
SSO (Single Sign-On)
Single sign-on (SSO) is a system that lets you log in once with one set of credentials (like a username and password) to access multiple different services or applications. This is a helpful security measure often used by organizations, large companies, and individuals to reduce the need to remember and manage many different logins. ScreenCloud utilizes secure services like Auth0 for its SSO functionality. You can find more detailed information about ScreenCloud and SSO here.
Once SSO is setup, you can apply and remove ownership for a user just as described above.
SSO for ScreenCloud is available on the Pro Plan with a minimum of 35 screen licenses. If you are interested in setting up SSO for your account and users, please reach out to our support team.
