Amazon Fire TV issue - Authorization expired.JPG

The error message “Authorization expired - The time to authorize the user has expired” comes from Amazon’s Fire TV, and may appear above the ScreenCloud player even after you click OK.

Please follow the steps from Amazon's support here to resolve your issue. We’ve also written these instructions below.

We recommend that you please restart your Fire TV device by disconnecting the power to it for at least 60 seconds. However, if you continue to see this error, the next step is to re-register your Fire TV.

To re-register your Fire TV, please take the following steps:

  1. From the Home screen, go to Settings.

  2. Select My Account.

  3. Select Amazon Account.

  4. Select Deregister, and then when prompted select Deregister again. (Please note that this will remove any installed apps and require that they be downloaded again.)

  5. Once the reset process completes, follow the on-screen prompts to reconnect the Fire TV to your internet, and then sign in to your Amazon account.

If the issue is still present, reach out to our support team at [email protected] for assistance.
