With the release of the Amazon Signage Stick, it is recommended that you purchase this device over an Amazon Fire TV device if you are intending to set up ScreenCloud. Amazon has created this new device to work perfectly with digital signage, so that your content will no longer be interrupted by the Fire TV home screen and other consumer and home services. Please refer to How to Set Up ScreenCloud on the Amazon Signage Stick for Digital Signage to learn how the device works and how you can set up ScreenCloud to display your digital signage content.

Amazon's Fire TV Stick 4K - 2nd Gen (2023)

The 2nd generation 4k device, with the same selling price as the previous generation, certainly comes with many improvements and enhancements, including Wi-Fi 6 support.

However, it is not recommended to purchase the new Amazon Fire TV Stick 4K (2023) model, as this device runs Fire OS 8. This version of Fire OS requires additional steps to enable the ScreenCloud player app to function optimally as digital signage. Amazon Fire TV Stick 4K - 1st Gen (2018)

ScreenCloud's technical team has determined that the Amazon Fire TV Stick 4K (2018) as of September 2019 is a supported and suitable device for digital signage. However, the device is discontinued and new devices are no longer being produced.

The Amazon Fire TV Stick 4K model is a great device, bringing improvements over the previous generation Amazon Fire TV Gen 2 model in almost every way, including more processing power, 4K capability, and Amazon's new remote with Alexa built-in, all for only $10 than the previous generation model. As such, we understand why our users would be interested in this device.
