ScreenCloud Studio: Links

Here you can learn about ScreenCloud Studio and adding links to display on your screens.

Updated this week

This guide is part of How to Use ScreenCloud for Digital Signage, a collection of sub-guides that help you learn about using ScreenCloud Studio and the features it contains.

If any of the features do not work, we recommend using an alternative web browser such as Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox. Other web browsers are not recommended to use for ScreenCloud's website. Please visit Which Web Browser Should I Use With ScreenCloud? to learn more.

Add a new link

Visit the “Links” section of your account and click on the yellow “New Link” button to get started on adding a new website.

Name or rename a link

Visit the "Links" section of your account, hover over any link and click on the pencil icon. You’ll be able to start editing the name for your media.

Once you’ve finished making your changes, click the “Enter” button on your keyboard for the name to update.

You can also change the name of any link by clicking on it and editing the name from your link options.

Display a QR code with a link

When adding your URL with “Links” you have the ability to display a QR code, which is generated automatically.

You have the ability to position it into 4 different positions.

Please note that the preview of the the link once saved, may appear different then what you see on the screen and screen preview, as the size automatically adjusts to the dimensions of the screen so that it is clearly readable and scannable by a phone and not covering too much of the screen.

You cannot adjust the QR code position once the link is saved, so if you wish to make changes, you will need to simply re-create the link.

And this is not all - Each time a QR code is scanned, the data is collected in Metrics! This is useful, as it allows you to see which of your screens are receiving the most traffic and attention.

Please note: The QR code metrics feature is only part of the Pro or Enterprise pricing plan. Please contact your customer success manager if this feature isn't already available in your account, or contact our support team at [email protected] if you wish to upgrade your pricing plan.

Deleting a link or website

Visit the “Links” section of your account and click on the three horizontal dots for the settings drop-down menu for your website. Select “Delete” and you’ll be prompted to delete the website from your account.

Links can also be deleted by clicking on the website from your list and selecting the trash can icon from your website settings.

Search for links

Visit the “Links” section of your account and use any keywords or tags in the search bar to quickly populate specific links.
