How to obtain your secret key credentials from Microsoft
If your organization uses Microsoft two-step verification or 2FA to log in to your required Dashboard, then you'll need an Account name and Secret Key from Microsoft to input during your Dashboard configuration.
Here's a video on how to get those credentials from mysignins.microsoft.com/security-info, which also requires setting up the connection from the Microsoft Authenticator app on your phone:
Step 1: On your computer
Navigate: Go to mysignins.microsoft.com/security-info and log in.
Add Method: Click + Add sign-in method and select Microsoft Authenticator app.
Manual Entry: Click Next twice, then select "Can't scan QR code?"
Save Credentials: Keep the Account name and Secret key visible on your screen and save these somewhere else safe (to be used for Dashboards).
Step 2: On your mobile device
Open App: Launch Microsoft Authenticator and tap + (Add Account).
Account Type: Select Work or school account.
Manual Setup: Tap Scan QR code, then select Enter code manually at the bottom.
Sync: Enter the Account name and Secret key from your computer and tap Finish.
Step 3: Final verification
Verify: A number will appear in your computer browser.
Approve: Enter that number into the prompt on your phone.
Confirm: Click Done on your computer. Your account is now linked and generating OTP codes on your phone.
The Account name and Secret key you copied earlier will be used for the next steps below

How to set up your Dashboard with 2-Step Verification
Now that we have our credentials, let's set up our Dashboard. Please follow the steps below to learn how to do this.
Download the Microsoft Authenticator app on your mobile phone. You can also use the Google Authenticator app, however, you'll still need to follow the steps in the video above when getting your secret key, and select 'I want to use a different authenticator app'. The reason for this is that there are two different types of secret key formats, and the instructions above will give you the correct one. But once you have the correct secret key, you can use the Microsoft Authenticator app to create your account.
Once you have your Account name and Secret Key from Microsoft, store those credentials somewhere safe.
Add an account in your Google or Microsoft Authenticator app on your mobile phone, and enter your Account name and Secret Key.
Go to ScreenCloud and set up your Dashboard as normal.
Once you've finished recording your journey, review the actions or dashboard journey steps on the left-hand side where you'll see an error message, as indicated below:
Enter a credential name and your secret key in the fields below:
Click Save.
Set the Manage Session refresh rate to 15 minutes. See the Manage Session / Refresh Rate guide if this needs to be longer.
Click Save, and then Save and Preview top right. Wait for the Dashboard to load. Once it loads, successfully, the Dashboard is ready to display on your screens.
Don't see ScreenCloud Dashboards in your account? This feature can be added to your account with an upgrade to the Pro or Enterprise plan. Please reach out to ScreenCloud support or your account manager to get help with this.
