Make Changes to Your Dashboard Login Journey with "Re-Record Journey"
Updated over a month ago

If you notice your Dashboard isn't showing the correct site, chances are some steps in the login process have been updated. For example, a password has been changed. With "Re-Record Journey", you can access an existing Dashboard app and re-run the login process so that your Dashboard is displaying the correct information again. View this guide to learn how.

The Re-Record Journey feature for ScreenCloud Dashboards enables users to quickly update their login steps for managing login-restricted web pages that may have been broken, or those which have had updates to their login process. This feature allows for seamless updates to login credentials or multi-factor authentication (MFA), and removes the need to re-create your Dashboard app and replace it for your screens, channels, and playlists.

Please note, that only the creator of the Dashboard instance can see and run the re-record action, ensuring the information remains secure to the user who created it.

Here's how Re-Record Journey for ScreenCloud Dashboards works:

1. In your Dashboards library in your ScreenCloud account, hover over a Dashboard that needs to be reconnected. The options (ellipsis) button will appear for you to click, which will reveal the Re-record Journey button. Click this to begin the process.

2. The same URL originally used to set up the Dashboard remains, but the login journey is no longer available. Click Start Recording to begin the process again. If you wish, you can update the URL with another of your choosing.

3. Run through the login journey process as you normally would for a ScreenCloud Dashboard app setup, as described in the ScreenCloud Dashboards Set Up Guide. Make sure to set the Manage Session settings according to how they were before.
