How to Fix the Automatic Screen Rotation Issue for ScreenCloud on Samsung Frame

Learn how to resolve the auto rotate issue for your Samsung frame display when connecting a device running ScreenCloud in portrait.

Updated this week

Is your ScreenCloud content displaying incorrectly on your Samsung Frame TV? You might find that portrait content from your Android or Fire OS media player is being automatically rotated into a horizontal view. This is a default setting on Frame TVs. Fortunately, there's a simple solution: change the input on your Frame TV from HDMI to PC mode. This will ensure your content displays in the correct orientation. The following steps will guide you through the process.

Please note: We do not support Samsung Frame TV as a digital signage TV and do not have a dedicated player for it. However, customers can use this device as a display with our supported media players, such as Android, Amazon, etc.

  1. Press the Settings button on your Samsung TV remote. This opens the TV's menu.

  2. Navigate to Connected Devices.

  3. Select the HDMI port your ScreenCloud media player is connected to (e.g., HDMI 1).

  4. Select Edit.

  5. Choose PC as the Device Type.

  6. Select OK to save your changes.

  7. Your ScreenCloud content should now display correctly.
