Tizen Hardware

All you need to know about ScreenCloud and Samsung Tizen hardware.

Updated this week

Samsung displays that are powered by SSSP 6 on Tizen 4, SSSP 10 on Tizen 6.5 and TEP on Tizen 7.0 (SSSP 7 on Tizen 5 is not supported) are supported to work with ScreenCloud. ScreenCloud's Samsung Tizen player app works natively with Samsung Smart Signage displays, eliminating the need for a media player and allowing customers to scale across their organizations.

Samsung's commercial-grade smart signage displays are a great and easy way to get started using digital signage and can support all business operations up to 24/7 continuous operation.

For a complete catalog of other hardware we recommend, please review the ScreenCloud website's Hardware page. For an extensive list such as the below for the other operating systems we support, please see here.

Troubleshooting

These troubleshooting steps can help resolve issues with your Samsung Tizen display. We recommend that you try these steps before reaching out to support, to see if this might resolve your issue for you.

    1. Press the Samsung TV remote's yellow, C or info button while opening the ScreenCloud player to open the side menu.

    2. Visit the setting Clear Cache in the menu.

    3. Select the Clear Cache button to clear the cache of the ScreenCloud player app.

  1. Power cycle the display: Turn it off for a few minutes and then power it back on again.

  2. Check for OS updates and update the display to the latest OS.

  3. Check any existing guides on Tizen to see of there is already a solution for your issue.

  4. Check that the device's internet connection is strong enough - See Samsung's support here.

  5. Check and confirm that the power adapter of the device is not the issue.

  6. Uninstall and reinstall the ScreenCloud player - Use Replace Device to pair the same screen license again.

  7. Remove any unnecessary apps that might be installed or playing on the device so that it only runs ScreenCloud.

  8. Perform a Factory Reset and re-install the ScreenCloud player app - Use Replace Device to pair the same screen license again.

  9. If the issue is not resolved after the above steps, the device might be faulty. You can:

    1. Reach out to the manufacturer to see what can be done.

    2. Purchase a ScreenCloud supported media player to connect to the display.

    3. Purchase a newer model LG webOS Signage display.
