Power off the BrightSign device by removing the USB or 12V power connection.

BSN.Cloud and App URL setup for the ScreenCloud BrightSign player
If you manage BrightSign devices through BSN.Cloud, you can set up the ScreenCloud app on your players using the App URL method — An empty Micros SD card is still required.
Before you begin, you'll need:
A BSN.Cloud account with admin access
Your player connected to the internet and powered on with a blank microSD card inserted
Network access to
brightsign.screencloud.comand BSN.Cloud endpoints (check firewall or proxy settings if needed)
Step 1: Create a ScreenCloud App URL setup
Go to Admin > Setup > Setup Library and click New Player Setup (or edit an existing one).
Fill in the Player Setup form with the following settings:
Setup Name:
ScreenCloud
Name you'll pick later in Apply Setup / Setup Library
Player Name:
BrightSign
Player Description:

Customization:

OrUse Name Only— It affects how the device name is generated
Time Zone: Set to the deployment site's timezone
Idle Screen Color: This is optional — The color shown before the player app loads
Publishing Mode:
App URLThe key setting
The hosted ScreenCloud player bundle
Network Configuration:
Use current player settingsOr select
Include network configurationto bake in Wi-Fi or static IP settings
Under Player Settings > Advanced, keep at Enable bsn.Control or bsn.Content. This lets you continue managing the player from BSN.Cloud (remote reboot, screenshots, diagnostics) while the ScreenCloud app is running.
Click Add Setup to Library to save your setup. You can apply it to any player on your network.
App URL vs Partner App: The Partner App option works the same way — it just pre-fills the URL. Entering https://brightsign.screencloud.com/autorun.zip in the App URL field gives the same result.
Step 2: Add your BrightSign device to BSN.Cloud
Choose a method based on how you're adding your device.
Option A — Activate using an on-screen code
A freshly booted BrightSign player with a blank SD card will show a purple activation screen with a code. Go to Admin > Activate, enter the code, and click Submit.
Option B — Add by serial number
Go to Admin > Provision > Add Player, enter the serial number, and click Add Player. This is useful for staging devices before powering them on, or for bulk onboarding.
Step 3: Apply the ScreenCloud setup to your BrightSign device
Go to Admin > Provision > Apply Setup and select the ScreenCloud setup you created. The player will reboot, fetch the ScreenCloud app, and launch it automatically.
When the pairing code appears, head to Screens in your ScreenCloud account to to pair a screen to the code. If this is new to you, learn how screen pairing works here.
Micro SD card setup for the ScreenCloud BrightSign player
Prepare a Micro SD Card with a minimum of 8GB of storage (media cache size). Make sure to format the Micro SD Card in FAT32 format with default allocation size if possible. Here are guides on how to do that for Windows, macOS, and Chrome OS.
Download the ScreenCloud BrightSign Player app and extract it on your computer:

Player limitations
The ScreenCloud BrightSign player currently has limitations at this moment in time. You can see these mentioned below:
Inability to play two or more videos at once
Inability to play certain apps for older BrightSign versions (more info here)
Running more than a single video at a time on your BrightSign device with ScreenCloud will cause issues and most likely cause our player to crash. Your best practice would be to display only a single video on one of your zones if your intend to run a multiple zone layout with a Channel. Please note that apps playing videos are included in this recommendation.
