Windows Hardware

This article covers the minimum hardware requirements for Windows, lists supported and unsupported devices, and provides troubleshooting steps for ScreenCloud issues.

Windows devices like PCs and touchscreen PCs are great devices for using ScreenCloud. We require Windows devices running Windows 10 / 11. Please note that only versions of Windows 10 / 11 that have Classic Windows app support are supported.


Minimum requirements

  • Windows 10 / 11, 32-bit or 64-bit (please note that only versions of Windows 10 / 11 that have Classic Windows app support are supported)

  • A device with a processor that’s supported by Windows 11 or 10 (see here), dual-core processor or higher (preferably quad-core processor or higher)

  • 4 GB of RAM or higher (preferably 8 GB of RAM or higher)

  • 32 GB of storage or higher (preferably 64 GB or higher)

Troubleshooting

These troubleshooting steps can help resolve issues with your Windows device or display. We recommend that you try these steps before reaching out to support, to see if this might resolve your issue.

Right-click in ScreenCloud app → Select Toggle Menu → Click Clear Cache in right-hand menu

If issue resolves, enable Daily Restart to prevent recurrence

Power Cycle Device

Turn device off for a few minutes, then turn it back on

Check for Windows updates and install latest version

Review Windows-specific known issues documentation

Check Power Cable

Confirm power cable is functioning properly

Check Overheating

Ensure device has proper airflow and is not overheating

Use speedtest.net to confirm strong, stable connection

Uninstall and reinstall from download page → Use Replace Device when pairing

Remove Unnecessary Programs

Delete unused apps to free up system resources

Perform Windows factory reset → Reinstall ScreenCloud Player

Replace Device (If Needed)

If issue persists, consider upgrading to a newer model
