This article covers the minimum hardware requirements for Windows, lists supported and unsupported devices, and provides troubleshooting steps for ScreenCloud issues.

Windows devices like PCs and touchscreen PCs are great devices for using ScreenCloud. We require Windows devices running Windows 10 / 11. Please note that only versions of Windows 10 / 11 that have Classic Windows app support are supported.

Minimum requirements

- Windows 10 / 11, 32-bit or 64-bit (please note that only versions of Windows 10 / 11 that have Classic Windows app support are supported)
- A device with a processor that’s supported by Windows 11 or 10 (see here), dual-core processor or higher (preferably quad-core processor or higher)
- 4 GB of RAM or higher (preferably 8 GB of RAM or higher)
- 32 GB of storage or higher (preferably 64 GB or higher)

Troubleshooting

These troubleshooting steps can help resolve issues with your Windows device or display. We recommend that you try these steps before reaching out to support, to see if this might resolve your issue.

    1. Right-click anywhere with your mouse while on the ScreenCloud app and select Toggle Menu.

    2. Visit the setting Clear Cache in the right-hand menu that appears.

    3. Select the Clear Cache button available here for the app.

  1. Power cycle the device: Turn it off for a few minutes and then power it back on again.

  2. Check for OS updates and update the device to the latest version.

  3. Check if the issues for your Windows device is mentioned here.

  4. Check that the power cable of the device is working and not the issue.

  5. Ensure the device is not overheating and place it in an area with good airflow.

  6. Check the internet connection strength with speedtest.net and make sure it is strong enough - See this help doc from Windows.

  7. Delete and re-install the ScreenCloud player from the download page - Use Replace Device when you see a new pairing code to pair to the same screen license.

  8. Delete unnecessary apps and programs so that the device has more space.

  9. Perform a Factory Reset and install the ScreenCloud player from the download page.

  10. If the device is still faulty, it may be time to replace it with a newer model.
