How to set up your PIXI device
1. Connect to the internet
The first menu you will see after the ScreenCloud loading screen is the network configuration menu. Here you can connect the device to either Wi-Fi or Ethernet. Make sure to have the device's remote control ready.
Connect to Wi-Fi
Select your WiFi and input your password and other necessary details with the device's remote control and the onscreen keyboard. An on screen keyboard will appear for you to input your Wi-Fi's password (if applicable).
Connect to Ethernet
To set up with Ethernet, please first connect an ethernet cable and then select the the Ethernet option, which should reveal that it is now connected.
When you've selected your network configuration, use the remote control to navigate to the Next button.
2. Select your timezone
Click the time zone option and select your timezone from the available options. You can compare the time with what you see on your computer or phone to make sure it is exact. The time will be picked up from the connected network.
When the information looks correct, select the Complete setup. Your PIXI device is now online!
3. Use the pairing code to set up your first PIXI screen!
Use the QR code with your phone to login to ScreenCloud at studio.screencloud.com and pair a screen, or use the 6-digit pairing code to pair a New screen to your ScreenCloud account on your desktop computer. Once paired, your screen is ready to be used to share your content from ScreenCloud!

Once you've paired a screen to your new PIXI device, make sure to set up it up with the ideal digital signage settings, such as Daily Restart. Continue below to learn about this setting and other important screen management tools for your PIXI screen.
PIXI settings and actions
To open the ScreenCloud player menu, click the hamburger button or hold and press the OK button on your remote. Make sure the remote controller is aimed at the PIXI box.
Change the screen name
You can set the screen name directly in the player app's settings. Simply select the Screen name option to edit it.
However, as soon as you pair your screen, the name selected for the Screen in your account will be reflected here.
Adjust screen orientation
If you need to arrange your screen in a different orientation, you can select the Rotation option and select 0, 90, 180 or 270 degrees.
You can also change the screen orientation from your ScreenCloud account once you pair your screen.
Set a daily restart time
Select a time, within the hour, for the device to restart itself. You must first toggle on the Daily Restart switch to select your option.
This is a recommended setting if your screen is displaying 24/7, as a daily restart clears temporary files and processes, preventing potential slowdowns and ensuring optimal performance. It also helps installs updates and keeps the system running smoothly.
Perform screen actions
You can run a few actions for the screen to resolve minor issues:
Reset pairing
Reload
Restart device
Clear cache
You'll also be able to perform the Reload, Restart and Clear cache for your PIXI screen from in your ScreenCloud account with Screen RDM Tools.
View device specifications and information
Click More information to see the device's App information, OS and System details.
Manually update your PIXI OS version
Your PIXI should be updating automatically. However, if this is not the case, you have two ways to update it's OS. You can check for PIXI player OS updates online or manually update with an update file. To find these options, navigate to he Check OS Update button of the ScreenCloud player side menu.
Check system update: Select this button to have the device look online for OS updates.
Browser update file: If you've connected a USB Flash Drive with an update file, select this method to update your PIXI device. Instructions will be provided when a new OS version is released.
System settings
When you select System settings, you will access the Android menu of the device. Here you can change it's network connection as well as perform a factory reset.

Change network configuration of your PIXI
Open the ScreenCloud side menu with the hamburger button on the PIXI remote
Find and click System Settings
Select Network & Internet (The Wi-Fi toggle should be enabled)
Select the new Wi-Fi connection
Use the PIXI remote control to input the password with the onscreen keyboard
Select Done
You should now be connected to the new Wi-Fi network
If you are changing from Wi-Fi to Ethernet, simply connect the ethernet cable and disable Wi-Fi.
How to factory reset your PIXI
Open the ScreenCloud side menu with the hamburger button on the PIXI remote
Find and select System Settings
Select Device Preferences
Select About
Select Factory Reset
Select Factory Reset (again)
Select Erase everything
